RELAXATION

Breathing & stress.

Stress can influence how we breathe. Paying attention to the breath — and practising comfortable, deliberate breathing — can be one part of a broader relaxation and mindfulness routine.

Start with awareness

You do not always need to change your breathing. Simply noticing its rhythm, pace and movement can be a useful mindfulness practice. Sit somewhere comfortable and observe a few natural breaths without judging or forcing them.

Try a structured practice

Some people prefer a simple rhythm because it gives their attention something steady to follow. Box breathing, slow breathing and breath-awareness practices are common examples. Choose a pattern that feels comfortable and stop if you feel dizzy, light-headed or unwell.

A wellness practice, not treatment. BreatheMeter is not intended to treat anxiety, panic, stress disorders or any other medical or mental-health condition. If stress is persistent, severe or affecting your daily life, consider speaking with an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.

Build a small routine

Consistency can be easier when the habit is simple. You might choose a short practice after waking, during a work break, before meditation or as part of your evening wind-down. BreatheMeter lets you set daily or weekly reminders and keep your practice organised.

Guidance when you want it

BreatheMeter Premium includes 20 exercises with audio and visual guidance so you can focus on following the breathing pattern rather than watching a clock.
